The beppo app is ideal for organising multiple parking areas for large events, sports events and functions. It supports, for example, event organisers, ice hockey clubs and football clubs in efficiently managing parking on event days. With beppo, access controls can be carried out digitally and time-efficiently. Thanks to the self-service platform, parking spaces at events can be managed independently, parking permits assigned individually and access controlled flexibly. This ensures professional and stress-free parking management for events – from small club events to major sporting events.
Can my visitors register for a visitor parking space with beppo?
Yes. With the beppo app, visitors can register easily and free of charge via QR code. This ensures that warnings are not issued accidentally during parking checks.
Why does the police not fine illegally parked vehicles on private property?
The police are responsible for traffic offences on public property. On private property whose use is clearly private or restricted by a court order, the Swiss Road Traffic Act (SVG) does not apply. Therefore, the police cannot issue fines there. Owners may, however, take civil action against illegally parked vehicles. beppo offers a convenient, simple and legally secure solution for this.
What can I do about illegally parked vehicles?
If owners or tenants of a parking space are inconvenienced by illegally parked vehicles, they may demand compensation from the driver of the vehicle. Independently of this, they may report or pursue illegally parked vehicles, provided they have created the legal basis for doing so by installing a sign with a court-ordered parking prohibition or a parking regulation. As a rule, beppo customers refrain from reporting offences once they have been compensated for their inconvenience by the illegally parked driver.
How does beppo help me deal with illegally parked vehicles?
With the beppo app, beppo customers can record illegally parked vehicles themselves in just a few steps and document the violation in a legally secure manner. They leave a written notice (beppo slip with QR code) on the vehicle to inform the driver of their misconduct and demand inconvenience compensation. Alternatively, customers can use beppo’s smart video surveillance solution.
Can I use beppo together with Parkingpay?
Yes, absolutely. This is one of the major advantages of beppo: the beppo app is fully integrated with Parkingpay. This allows beppo customers to quickly and easily check whether parking has been paid for. If not, they can issue a warning within seconds without switching apps.
What does it cost me to use beppo against illegally parked vehicles?
The beppo app and the beppo slips are generally free of charge for our customers. The inconvenience compensation claimed by beppo on behalf of the customer legally belongs to the customer. beppo’s service costs usually only make up part of the customer’s inconvenience and are offset against the inconvenience compensation. This means that beppo customers effectively incur no additional costs.
What is an inconvenience compensation?
The inconvenience compensation is a civil-law compensation intended to cover the costs and other efforts incurred by the owner or tenant of a parking space as a result of a parking violation on private property. This includes documenting and reporting the violation and enforcing a claim.
How high may an inconvenience compensation be?
Unfortunately, there is no uniform regulation. For illegal parking on private property, inconvenience compensation (IC) of between CHF 40.00 and CHF 60.00 is usually claimed. Depending on the situation, for example higher monitoring effort, loss of revenue due to blocked customer parking spaces or monitoring requirements in the evening or at weekends, the IC may also be higher.
Who determines the amount of the inconvenience compensation?
The amount of the inconvenience compensation is determined individually by the beppo customer, i.e. the owner or tenant of the parking space.
What happens if an illegally parked driver does not pay my inconvenience compensation?
Receivables management is included with beppo. If an illegally parked driver does not pay the inconvenience compensation claimed by a beppo customer and ignores all reminders, beppo may initiate legal action on behalf of the customer. Depending on the legal framework applicable to the parking area in question, this may, for example, involve reporting the offence or initiating debt enforcement proceedings.
Can I cancel issued warnings?
Yes. beppo customers can cancel claimed inconvenience compensation at any time directly in the beppo app – easily and digitally.
How do I report a fuel offender?
With the beppo app, beppo petrol station customers can quickly and easily report fuel offenders. They use the beppo app and their existing video surveillance system to enter all relevant information and evidence in less than 1 minute. beppo takes care of the entire administrative effort and receivables management.
What does it cost me to use beppo against fuel offenders?
beppo sends the fuel offender an invoice on behalf of the beppo petrol station customer for the outstanding fuel amount plus a processing fee. This is offset against beppo’s service costs in the monthly statement. As a result, beppo petrol station customers effectively incur no additional costs.
Can claims also be enforced for foreign vehicles?
Yes. Claims can also be successfully enforced in many cases for foreign licence plates. beppo takes care of the review and complete handling of the incident.
